If someone told you that you could guarantee your current happiness with your life at this moment until your dying day, would you accept it, or would you say no and work towards something different?

Think that I prefer to deal with what life throws up at me on a daily basis.
If you'd asked me a couple of years ago, I'd have said that my life was 'as good as it gets' and I was very happy - but now it's even better & I'm even happier ... so I'll take my chances that the future is yet brighter.
Everyone will have sad days because life does throw some crap at us at times. It's the background happiness, the contentment, the love. I would happily accept what I have now but that doesn't mean I wouldn't accept more happiness or strive for it.
To be happy with less is a good goal.
I would happily stick where I am now. Rosie's wonderful post made me think a bit, but I would.
Why Theland? Less than what?
I would take it, people take life too seriously. Why would you want to strive to make a difference? Why do you want the hassle? You are here to be happy and enjoy yourself, end of.
I think yes I would, although there are some things that could improve to make my life perfect generally I'm very blessed. I have a warm family, a partner who takes my breath away, I'm financially okay and my health is stable, if you try to tweak your life until it's absolutely perfect then you're obviously going to end up unhappy because it'll never be enough.
The only way this pact can work for me is if I die before my grandparents. So, no thanks.

A few different perspectives there, as was to be expected. Some happy with their lot, some striving for more. I wonder if the strivers should be happy and those happy should strive. Who knows.
