However this website, which sells US products to a European market, describes 'Campbell's Beef Broth' as "this delicious beef stock", which (together with the list of ingredients) suggests that the terms are actually interchangeable.

I read that first link before I asked but I was no further forward. Your second link is interesting though. I've never seen that on the shelves and we are in Europe aren't we ;) .
So where do get clear stock from over here? Would something like Bovril do the job?
Trust me,American beef broth is clear beef stock. Any stock cube or ready prepared stock you can get in a supermarket will do. Personally I would not use bovril but would use an oxo cube.
waitrose do good stocks - my advice is watch the sodium (Na) levels as some of them out there can be incredibly salt-laden.....and that you should avoid, health-wise....
Sorry, just back from helping a neighbour to test drive a Lidl Western Gold.
That looks like the ideal thing DTC. Do you know if it is resealable or freezable? Reason I ask is I would use half of that or have to make twice as much of the meal (not a problem).
The recipe, remember it was American, called for a cup of beef stock. As far as I can gather that equates to 237mls but I stand to be corrected.
