Atheism Cannot Answer The Big Questions.
89 Answers
Too often when discussing origins, atheists simply say, "we don't know," and put FAITH in science that one day the answers will come.
But atheism is synonymous with evolution, for which there is not a single shred of evidence.
All it is, is a wonderful successful marketing achievement convincing masses of people that inert chemicals sprang into life, and then from the microbial slime, evolution produced mankind.
What drivel.
If you believe this rubbish, it is because YOU have never taken the time or trouble to study the evidence for and against.
It really is shocking.
Is it not time you thought for yourself?

Proof beyond reasonable doubt is proof enough, save for philosophers who won't be satisfied by anything much.
"assume," something to fill in the gaps."
It's not so much an assumption but a plausible explanation that is used as conjecture. As investigations fail to refute it, it gains credibility and is then accepted as truth, and a theory. Once accepted, by and large, it stays and further discoveries tend to modify, and only rarely totally replace. Much better that saying, "A deity did it".

I think folk should separate atheism from science and from a particular celebrity. The conversation gets muddled going off on mixed tangents. Atheism isn't there to answer 'the big questions' , it's a statement of faith that deities don't exist and so are no answer to any question. Go to science for questions about this physical universe; metaphysics for other things.
//secular materialistic science leaves so many questions unanswered, yet ridicules a spiritual dimension,//
