Today the Church celebrates the feast of Epiphany, when the Three Kings or Wise Men were led to Bethlehem to bring their gifts to the baby Jesus. What we celebrate today is the manifestation of our Lord to the whole world; having originally been made known to the Jewish shepherds, he is now visited by the gentile Magi from the East, beginning the process by which all the people of the earth are led to Jesus. I pray that this process of Epiphany may continue wherever people still do not know him, in our own country and in all parts of the world.

Im loath to get involved in this thread because maggiebee obviously isn't an evangelical Christian, hellbent on evangelising the world to her worldview, but I fail to see what would be so wonderful about all people on Earth been 'led to Jesus'?

Crikey- this is horrible, all Maggie did was wish something nice (in her eyes) to people and it's turned into this. I'll debate with anyone on this matter but not on a thread like this that's clearly just meant as good wishes.
I missed this Epiphany message yesterday Maggie.

Thank you.
Which I was loathe to comment on this thread Kval.
(wish I hadn't now) But AB *is* a public forum and open for debate.
Posted stuff myself in the past with the best of intentions and its turned into a snake pit :-(
Of course, today is Christmas Day for the millions who follow the Orthodox faith.
kvalidir, people, quite rightly, respond to threads on AB as they see fit... even those who swear at me and leave the rest alone. ;o)
