Should i really let issues like crime, illegal immigration, NHS, council tax, petrol prices, terrorism, education, Tony Blair, Cherie Blair, New Labour , the world cup and theEU **** me off. Or is England not that bad.

The feeling of being @*!?ed off is due to the fact that at the moment we are seemingly impotent - governments can only be changed through the ballot box - remember Labour governments in the 70's? If you do you will get a feeling that "we most certainly have been here before" fuel costs etc etc But as certainly as all good things come to an end so do all bad things

The 70's labour Govts wee replaced by Thatcher... anyone remember a slight recession? Rioting on the streets? Mass unemployment? I could go on but I have a feeling the site would melt before I was finished.
Tony Blair is a disgusting creature right enough and needs to be removed but get a bit of perspective.

While any government lets anyone in !!! gives them a house,money,fall over themselves to let the crap get the upper hand,unmarried mothers money to burn,usually they are young, nobody seems to care who the fathers are???? this is why apathy creeps in, and you answer your own question, sorry to say. coppers who are so fat they coudn't run after a two year old.... May I suggest all British citizens open an atlas, blindfold themselves and stick a pin in. Compare the job situation, healthcare, political freedoms, transport system, social life, availability of food and fresh, clean water of the chosen nation with your own and be surprised if you come off second best.

Is it really only the immigrants like me that appreciate the benefits of living and working in your country?

We are not talking about other country's bad management andromache, we are talking about England, the country English people were born in and have every right to voice their concerns about. Jonny is right, it just isn't England anymore. Multi-culturalism is a wonderful idea but just doesn't work as we are now finding out through a sky-rocketing crime rate and through second best treatment for indiginous people of England and Britain. I wish i was born in a poor country, then at least i could of run to England and live the life of riley.

Andromache i feel like an immigrant, i'm not allowed celebrate my nationality , i feel like an outsider in this country and i'm English. As someone who has come to this country do you not find it strange the way that the indigenous population are openly discriminated against and discouraged from showing pride in their country. And no Crete we aren't talking about the other countries of Britain just the one that carries them all - England.

Could you point out the piece of legislation that states you are not allowed to celebrate your nationality?

As far as i'm aware there is non, which makes it even worse when cretins in townhalls, local government etc decide to take offence on behalf of minorities. Things like banning people from flying flags, celebrating St George's day while allowing people from other nations to celebrate their culture tend to grate on the English.
