Has anyone joined and used one of these sites?
Was it a success for you whether buying or selling?
I have some largish items to get rid of and Money Saving Expert states that this is a good way to go, and it’s free!
Thank you.

I use a local site called Marketplace (there are lots of others too) with great success. It's amazing what people will buy, from jigsaws to unused wallpaper. I don't deliver - buyer has to uplift. I have also had some great bargains too.
I have both bought and sold through facebook.....be aware that you have less protection through facebook than through ebay but its loads cheaper.
yes both buying and selling. i delivered on one occasion as i was going to be near her antway and we met in the middle
I use local selling pages on facebook, Marketplace is part of the facebook app, if you are on these pages, you can opt to look at similar sites on Marketplace, I've bought, sold, advertised, given stuff for free, got some stuff for free, it's great.
Yes they work i saw a single mum once sell a used washing up bowl for fifty pence.

Thank you for all replies, I’m going to give it a go
best of luck, remember,it's just locals getting rid of stuff - or you selling to locals, there may be some haggling and you be best to say, collection only or extra for delivery
Yes I used to use it, it was great, it's the only thing I miss about Facebook tbh.
