It was announced on the BBC London news tonight that the Mayor of London has acceded to the wishes of Muslims in London to grant millions of pounds to assist in the security of Mosques. No doubt as a result of the attack on two Mosques in Christchurch. Whilst it would be abhorrent for a similar attack on any place of worship in the UK it would be irresponsible to ignore that particular threat. That is a given.
Does any one believe the Muslim Council of Great Britain will actually meet any security measures suggested half way if their security is to be subsidised by Londoners?
It would be horribly ironic should a 'being' enter a Mosque disguised head to foot in a Burka carrying a couple of MAC 10 or Scorpion miniature under their garb and perpetrate a similar massacre. Will Muslim women be allowed to continue to wear this hideous dress or,indeed, subject themselves to a strict body search when entering a Mosque? If not. So called increased security will be a sham.

The thing is, there is no other reason to wear that attire except skiing (would be perfectly acceptable to be worn skiing) or if it was Baltic conditions

However, the Buqka, Hibab, Niquiab, Head veil, religious garment of face coveringsings has it's purpose where ever someone is, because their faith, beliefs and god is always with them. It's main purpose is for religious reasons. I think that's a critical fact of discussion. A balaclava has no religious connotations. If it did, then sure, it has a place in a bank.

I wonder how many people enter banks daily in burkas. Are the women allowed to even handle the money if they are a follower of islam?
^ :o/
if you're going to bring something to discuss, it's beneficial if it has just one variable. In this case, the variable should be if it covers the face or not. It's important (if comparing a face covering to another) that they are both religious garments.
ummmm, if you're around, I've concluded that what you said a few days ago was absolutely right.
OK. I'm sorry you feel that way. More so for myself.. But I shan't engage with you further then. I spend my time conversing and discussing the actual topic at hand just to be tarnished and mocked. So what's the point.

Good day to you.
