How do you think the issue about the teaching of sexual and family diversity is going to be resolved? Especially as the temperature will be raised further next year when it becomes a legal(?) requirement on all primary schools to instruct their pre-pubescent pupils about same-sex marriage.
It seems to me that there's an intractable contradiction in an educational policy which promotes the idea that homosexuality is "OK" to the children of parents who think it is not.
But I'm not that an imaginative person. The British have a gift for compromise (we are told). What's the likely British compromise here?

there are these building called schools and they teach young people mostly under 16 - well try to
and part of the teaching is tolerance. They teach the children to treat those in the school ( and outside ) who are gay as they do anyone else, that is with tolerance and freedom
those young people INSIDE the building ( we call them school children ) who are gay, like the advice towards tolerance. I think that they dont like having the crap kicked out of them at breaktimes and look forward to a time of being.... unmolested.

Ah, got an answer, i.e. contemptible rationalisation. Bullying people who are "different" is bad. Therefore homosexual relationships are necessarily good.
And, meanwhile, are you quite sure you're a boy/girl? Because if you're not not we've got ways of "reassigning" you to your correct gender. Drugs, hormones - knife. That kind of stuff.
