Dvd To Audio

Bought a dirt-cheap DVD from eBay. It’s the complete works of George Eliot, on Audiobooks, and they’re saved as MP3 audio files.

Can’t put the disc into a CD machine (it IS a DVD), but on my Mac, you can pull each individual track off (each track is an hour’s playing time).

All I’ve managed to do is to pull a book at a time across to iTunes, then burn a CD of each individual chapter (so that I can play them on the Sony CD player in another room).

It works (although because it’s not an Apple device, ‘Remember Playback Position’ doesn’t work, unfortunately).

But it’s long and cumbersome. Have I got it wrong - was there an easier way? (I’ve still got 90% of the DVD to process!).

Can you not play it on a PC ?

Or failing that, copy all tracks onto your hard drive then burn them from there to the media of choice.

This DVD. Not a dodgy illicit copy is it ?

Yes, that’s what I’m doing - copying them to iTunes on my Mac, then burning CDs of each.

Illicit? Don’t know. There are around 200 hours of recordings, so would have been very hefty as CDs. Originally an Audiobook recorded in 2001.
