Lol I learnt my lessons well in my sailing days. Always updated my charts and made sure my Almanac was up to date as well as pilotage plans.

I rely on GPS now. Decca was good in it's day to a certain extent but only if the aerial was any good. Many a time I have been hoisted on the bosuns chair attached to the mainsail halyard to fix a VHF antenna in a rolling sea. I held my breath to the port and then to the starboard.
