Virus

My computer has been infected by the so called Duba virus K2rx.com. which is sending me infuriating pop-ups all the time & has a way of avoiding Windows Defender & Malwarebytes.

Has anyone experience of it & more to the point, found a way rid get rid of it please?

I tried system restore which I wouldn't recommend, it caused me grief & didn't work anyway :0(

Read through this Khandro. I do not recommend that you download any of the removal programmes that the site is ofgffering as I do not know them. There is however a method of removing the virus using the Windows control panel that may be useful.

Try booting into Safe Mode and then running your security programs again. That sometimes works.

CaC I've been running all afternoon a search by SpyHunter 5 which I thought would be also free, when it completed it said it had found 2 suspects but wanted 49$ to shift it.

Another tool to try is AdwCleaner. Unlike Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (from the same firm), there's no installation involved; you simply run the downloaded file directly. That can make it harder for malware to prevent it working:

The experts on there even wrote a program to clean my machine when all the normal methods did not work.
