It was a tern for the wurst.

hope no low flying pheasants, ducks or any other birds just get injured, and the beaters survive without any pellets.

I've been on some shoots where beaters were in fear of their lives, after pre shoot drinks had been had. People hardly letting birds get into the air, making dogs job difficult as well.
