To be clear - I have respect of naomi;s obvious intelligence, and her knowledge, and her ability to argue her point and stick to it.
It's her occasional superior attitude I have trouble with, and I call her out on it every time.
Similarly, she perceives me as ignorant of matters Islamic, and is equally able to exercise her right of criticism, which I equally accept.
That's how debate works - she appears fine with it, I absolutely am, so there is really no need for anyone to start getting het up when the debate warms up a little.
Passionate opinions run high, but no-one is harmed in the making of these exchanges.

Immediately after this incident happens the do-gooders are saying prison does not work ( Khan, Amnesty International et al) as prisoners will become radicalised in gaol. How does that square with the evidence that this piece of scum was planning terrorist attacks long before he ever saw the inside of a prison cell? Prior to his 3 year sentence (reduced) he was communicating with a Dutch blogger. That man said that Amman was a very dangerous man at that time.
Amman was sending Whatsapp photos to his own family including younger siblings and exposing them to graphic Terrorist material.He had discussed with his family, friends and girlfriend his strong and often extreme views on jihad, the kuffar, and his desire to carry out a terrorist attack.
If his god fearing innocent family were made aware,by him, of his allegiance to Terrorist organisations and his extreme wishes to kill non- believers surely it is their duty as good law abiding citizens to report these activities to the appropriate authorities. He told his girl friend to behead her parents as they were non believers.
After he was shot his mother said he was a nice boy.!
This scum has got his martyrdom at the cost of two people badly injured and many traumatised at what they witnessed. The mother,and family are just as guilty for keeping silent about his activities. If,as I would guess, his mother was not born in this country I think that due consideration be considered in investigating how much more she was aware of and charged with withholding information or aiding/abetting the crimes committed. If guilty then deportation to follow. Possibly our law abiding peaceful religious adherents may be more forthcoming with regard to further information on our wannabe jihadists if the threat of deportation for non disclosure is proved.
