I still fervently believe we would be better in than out.
However, I'm one of the remainers, and if this website is anything to go by, I'm one of the few remainers, who accepted the result.
I remember eating my cornflakes on the day after the referendum, flipping up the screen on my laptop, and fully expecting an overwhelming victory for remain. I was shocked..I distinctly remember blurting out loud, F..Me, they've only gone and won.
As much as I disagreed, I accepted the result.
And therein lies the difference - I accepted the fact that the majority of those that bothered to vote disagreed with me. In other words, democracy won out.
So even though Diddlydo and I are on the same side, the difference is I'm mature and sensible enough (I like to think) to accept I lost. Whereas despite Diddlydo telling us in the lead up to the GE about how intelligent she is, I actually think she's deluded and is as far from bright as it's possible to be.
Shame.

"I was shocked..I distinctly remember blurting out loud, F..Me, they've only gone and won. " - replace "they've" with "we've" and that's roughly what I said! I remember getting up at 6 am to go to the loo and err indoors was already up, I said "I'm not really up just going to the loo" and she said "You will be when you see the TV" I was shocked I did not expect to win. Anyway DD thanks for accepting the result with dignity, many have but sadly many still spout their hatred and bile. BA is awarded!
Deskdiary. I went to bed not bothering to wait for final results of the referendum and was as shocked at you at the result. I voted leave and was prepared to accept leave would lose. I would have accepted it even if is was a close thing because of democracy. I think the majority of remainers on this site have done the same - accepted it now as have the majority of the population, even if, like you, they still believe is a mistake. There is only nastiness and bitterness on this site from less than a handful of folk. I don't think Diddly lacks intelligence but has become fixated and bigotted and lost sight of any reasoning.
And yes a BA from me too, Deskdiary.
