Today, Thur 19th March, we had Day 4 of Boris's waffling, echo chamber.
The sham 'Press' were fully exposed as the the compliant, docile trash that they are and have Long been; not one question for a breakdown of 'the figures' - what were the ages of the most recent deaths, how many of those had pre-existing health conditions, and the same questions of all ages and if pre-existing health conditions for ALL new cases, and was the CoVid 19 strain POSITIVELY confirmed in all those groups: how do those compare with previous years annual flu death figures.
Johnston was again flanked by his technocratic echo chamber, one who said 'clinical trials' had "started today", yet another point that should have been challenged by the supine 'Press' present by simply asking " Trials for specifically What, by whom, where, and why were they only "started today"...
Johnson had the chutzpah to call these charades "an interrogation", and also thank them ( toady 'Press' ) for their "deference".
I am reminded the insidious, dangerous Walter Lippmann and his horrifying words "mass man functioned as a "bewildered herd" who must be governed by "a specialized class whose interests reach beyond the locality.", and his fellow chosen 'Almond–Lippmann consensus' :
Public opinion is volatile, shifting erratically in response to the most recent developments. Mass beliefs early in the 20th century were "too pacifist in peace and too bellicose in war, too neutralist or appeasing in negotiations or too intransigent"
Public opinion is incoherent, lacking an organised or a consistent structure to such an extent that the views of US citizens could best be described as "nonattitudes"
Public opinion is irrelevant to the policy-making process. Political leaders ignore public opinion because most Americans can neither "understand nor influence the very events upon which their lives and happiness are known to depend."
