I watched this on DVD last night and couldn't work out who had killed the Mexicans at the start of the film and why they didn't take the money and the drugs. Can anyone enlighten me? The rest of the film was then full of the most gratuitous violence I've ever seen. If that's an example of the Coen Bros. output you can keep it!
Thanks, Buenchico. I confess it never occurred to me to read the synopsis! Now I'm trying to work out why there wasn't a survivor. Surely there has to be a last man standing!
It's the Coen Brothers most violent movie by a long shot. Some of their older movies are fantastic: Miller's Crossing, Fargo, Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona...
