Toilet Rolls ???

Now that the dust is starting to settle re Covid 19 disease can someone answer me this= Why was there a mad dash in early March for toilet rolls?? I have asked around and no one can be sure why folks were buying hundreds of bog rolls. WHY Cheers confused

Apparently a Tory newspaper mis- reported that the UK imported all it’s toilet rolls from China, and since they were in lockdown it wrongly forecast a shortage.
In actually fact there’s a massive factory in Manchester that produces them.

I want to know what's happened to flour. Perhaps people were baking their own toilet wipes and there's no more flour around?

Perhaps those that were stock-piling bog rolls were planning on buying cute little Golden Labrador puppies to keep them company during lockdown? :-)
