It means I'm about to chuck the remote at the tv. Flipping annoying advert.

What advert is giving you the pip at the moment? I rarely see adverts but sometimes it is not my choice.

We have an annoying prelude to the Granada weather forecasts at the moment.
A little girl is filling a tiny plastic novelty watering can and says in a very winey voice:- “ look mommy, I’m taking care of the water”
We all cringe every time.
You just beat me to it Margo - detest that advert.

What on earth was Victor McGuire thinking when he took on that advert?
Probably, money
You need to scroll down. Dreadful isn't it Maggie.
The ads for animal charities really get to me and I have to turn them off or I will think about them all the time. They've just shown the one where a baby bear is being taken away from its Mum and its cries are devastating to hear. I don't ignore the suffering by the way, I do donate.
Not just some of the adverts, but anything, anything where Keith Lemon pops up on my screen! Grrrrrrrrrrr!

iluvmargie, those adverts really wind me up. The charity ads are non-stop during afternoon tv, not just for animals but for children, all sorts of cancers. Cheerfully interspersed by adverts for funeral plans, equity release, life assurance. A lot of people who are watching are elderly and alone and these adverts can really affect their mental health, as well as their finances. There ought to be some sort of limit on the number that can be shown in a day.

I record all my programmes although I have YouTube on my freeview box so I'm stuck with those adverts.
I tell you what if that ruddy June lived next door to me I would stick one of them parsnips up her ***
I absolutely detest that Haribo-police advert too! There should be a law against it!
...and agree with teacake re-June!
Let's a have a PROPER ad, from the good old days!

Patronising to women? Surely not!

I also, like elliemay earlier, get annoyed by the hair dye ads. I have wrecked so many towels and mats dying my hair while sitting for ages in the bathroom. But Davina does hers in no time, with a pristine shirt at the end.

Intrusive advertising irritates me so much I will make a point of avoiding the advertised subject. So It’s counterproductive in my case.
Always colour my hair in the kitchen, much easier and have designated dark or old towels.
I can't say I get aggravated by any advert, I don't see many and if I don't care for one I mute it.
