We spend how much on shoes??!!

There has been a survey recently which has revealed women spend an average of �33,000 in their lifetime on SHOES!!!

This work's out as eight pair's a year costing a total of �527!!!!

Now I love shoes and do have quite a few pairs, but I really don't think I come close to that amount. Do you??

i LOVE shoes and boots, have way too many but dont spend nearly that amount either, I dont have expensive taste

My fav pair of sandles have just broke they were �65 last year from Top Shop I love their shoes
Am mad though cos I thought they would last longer than that but I do walk alot

I spend nowhere near that amount - I tend to have a couple of pairs for each season which I wear to death before buying new ones! I'm not that interested in shoes to be honest - they are a necessity, not an obsession.

I do admit I buy lots a shoes and purse, handbags etc., but nowhere close to spending that amount per year.

I'm the same as most of you, I have lots of them but they are all nice and cheap. I have one designer handbag, but it was a birthday presant.
I couldn't afford to spend that much on shoes, I'd ruin them in a few days!!

It's mad! And I'm very jealous! lol

Ooo-er....I bet i do! I have lots of pairs of boots, and because they maybe average about �120 a throw, it'd be easy to spend over �500 a year on them! Shoes are different. I buy good ones, which tend to last for a long time, and apart from a new pair last year, I can't remember when I bought any before that. If you add the total up though......yep!

I'm retired but if I had the money would love to indulge as I use too.It's down to a pair every three months or so now.Thats if I don't have a big bill in.

I dont spend anything like that amount ! i must admit though to buying shoes cos i loved the colour ... even though i had nothing to go with them... i never learn !

I always buy good quality and most times designers; but I wait for a sale then shop. I've gotten quite good deals on sale.

I spend about �60, so someone is using up the rest of my allowance - so who is going to fes up!?!

Mind you I must spend about �250 a year on kids shoes - so maybe that brings the average up and my husband buys me a pair of boots every christmas.

I am not loaded and earn an average salary, but I don't think �527/year is a lot. And I dont think 8 pairs a year is that many. After all, we do wear shoes every day and they do get a lot of wear and tear.

Obviously this figure is average so there will be plenty of people below this figure (incl myself) as well as above.

I think the most I would pay for a pair is �70 and that would only be if i really liked them and thought they would get lots of wear.
