well i would but I guess I'd miss. unless he stood still long enough and didn't hear me approaching cos he was looking the other way, and quite big.

i think stuff like that was sorted and repealed.
No it is not illegal..it is legal
Only in York could it be legal to shoot a Scotsman with a bow and arrow should one be spotted on the city walls after dark.
Excluding Sundays of course !

legal or not.........sounds like a plan to me
After dark it would be quite easy to mistake a Burberry baseball cap for a tartan tam 'o' shanter. Lets go chav hunting!
Whereas in Scotland it is still legal to shoot a Yorkshireman with anything you want !!

.... and here is the Flying Scotsman ...
Ive heard that in Hereford the same rule applies to welshman
Same in Chester too. Many of the old border towns have old byelaws that have never been repealed for some unknown reason. Mark Thomas did a programme on the daft laws of the land once. One of the stunts he made involved a flock of sheep across London Bridge; I forget the details.

And did you know that there's some law that states hackneys have to have a bale of hay in the back? It's a throwback to when hackneys were simply carts, but nobody bothered to change the rules!
Legal or ILLegal to shoot them ? Actaully, I thoguht it was mandatory ! I wonder if this applies to a crossbow too -my favourite weapon. Silent (unlike a gun) and somewhat more convenient than a longbow. Pretty accurate over a medium range, too.

Not anymore - the law was repealed back in the 1970s.
