...I had a message that I've a tax refund due. This came from a different number than the notification I got a month ago. TWO refunds!? I'll be rich.
Maybe I should use it to pay my Netflix bill...that was another late night message.
Trouble is...I don't have Netflix.
You're lucky, Pasta. I've had a call from a man telling me I'm involved is some sort of tax fraud.
He said. If you don't pay this now you will be arrested Shorty.
I gave him such a telling off for calling me Shorty before I realised he'd said shortly.
I had this same message today. Luckily I read things on here, so I deleted it. I wonder how these people get your mobile number. Anyone have any idea? Thanks
Hi Bobbie22.
The scammers buy up a different range of phone numbers in the country and then use automated machines to randomly make quick missed calls to blocks of different numbers. Giving your phone a couple of rings which is long enough for it to make a missed call.
If you think the number might be suspect, dont answer let it go to voicemail. A quick Google of the number will likely tell you if it is part of an ongoing spam call.
