A Simple Printer
6 Answers
Please can anyone suggest an easy to use simple printer. I need it for copying, printing and occasionally scanning. I have an Epson XP - 322 which I have never got on with. Even after ink changes and cleaning programmes it still won't print.
Google have some suggestions for "easy printers for Seniors" but I wondered if anyone here has any thoughts. Thank you.

I then bought a Samsung ML 2165W black and white laser printer which I use for all my printing, and I still use the Advent (without the need for ink) to scan documents, which I can then save and e-mail and print with my Samsung. The Samsung hardly ever needs a new toner cartridge and is fine for my needs, and I can still scan things via the Advent.
My first printer, many years ago, was an inkjet which I used infrequently and worked out I used more ink using the cleaning cycle than I did with useful printing. Apart from the expense it's very frustrating having to get the printer working properly each time you use it. Laserjets are more expensive to buy but they work first time every time and, whilst the replacement cartridges are relatively expensive, they last a long time and can often have their life extended a bit yy taking them out and gently tipping them to re-distribute the remaining toner. I'd never go back to ink-type printers.
