Well hush my mouth!
I never considered myself to be lazy but now that I have read the judgements on here about people who buy bags of grated cheese, ready boiled eggs, jars of sliced lemon, and ready chopped onions (all of which I buy from time to time) I must declare myself the laziest in the land.
I used to feel very lazy buying grated mozzerella but it's excellent on an omelette.
Most of the other stuff I wouldn't buy though a friend who has been a chef buys lots of short cut things.
I buy bags of washed salad leaves as I really can't be faffing with washing and drying.
I'm going to confess to also buying ready made gravy pots which I just heat in the microwave - ooh lazy, lazy me !!
I often think it's interesting that every new modern convenience is greeted with glee, the latest vacuum cleaners, washing machines or TVs - but when we get to food the mood changes

I embrace convenience in the kitchen, partly through necessity and partly through having better things to do as well.
I also have good neighbours who open jars if I struggle.
I have heard of frozen poached eggs used in the catering industry but I haver never seen them in shops. I would be interested as I love poached eggs but can never make them right and I would like to avoid all the hassle and faff. Anyone know which, if any, supermarkets sell them?
Sometimes if you're cooking for just one, the frozen, or small pre-prepared portions are a lot easier.
I'll buy grated parmesan or grano padano...but not cheddar as it's got flours added to limit sticking.
Yes I would. When I was doing slimming world if I hadn't sorted lunch, the Mark's and Spencer round the corner used to do boiled eggs with spinach, which was syn free. I also am with poly I have a hand disability and cannot chop onions nor grate cheese safely. I can only chop carrots if I use my boobs to steady them:)
Also a big thanks to sqad for his recommendation if idahoan mash - so glad I have to peel less potatoes (and fingers!)
Frozen mash is excellent too, Bednobs :o)
I occasionally buy pickled eggs.
Her indoors buys ready made pies , chips , cakes , chopped onions ,chopped carrots .....

What a lazy young lady she is

Some of you have too much time to spend in the kitchen
I too have started buying Idahoan mash, it's very nice.
Yes!!! Else we might miss a post on AB . :-)
sometimes its easier to have frozen vegetables available, times when you are only cooking small amounts now and again, saves you throwing fresh stuff out, if I make mash I make a large amount then freeze the surplus to save wasting potatoes, I'm not a fan of pre shredded cheese but that's because it always has a waxy weird texture but if you like it why not.
I get pre chopped/sliced butternut squash as I just dont trust my ability to grip the damn thing.
I think the ready-prepared cheese should be banned.

Make Britain grate again.
Morrison's were selling poached eggs a couple of years ago but I don't know if they still are.

I find eggs very easy to poach but I know a lot of people have problems with them
You're supposed to take the red bit off the Edam, Purist.
