I've been using 2mg tablets to help me stop smoking. The leaflet that comes with them states take no more than 15 each day. Could it be harmful to take more than that regularly?

"If someone consumes more than the recommended amount of nicotine lozenges in a day, they can experience nicotine poisoning. The symptoms of nicotine poisoning can be subtle and in some cases, hard to identify."

Not sure about nicotine tablets as I used patches about 15 years ago and they worked. Also worth having a word with Will Power.

I was feeling quietly proud of myself having managed to stop smoking. But substituting one method of getting my fix of nicotine with another probably isn't the best way.
I'll have to start cutting down on the lozenges.
You should be proud of yourself Sandy - stopping smoking is never easy. You seem to be on the right track and cutting down on the tablets gradually might well be the way forward.
I used these tablets and then discovered they were nearly as addictive as the cigarettes. I eventually found that by gradually substituting ordinary chewing gum the dependency on the tablets diminished and then it was easy to give up both the tablets and the chewing gum. Have been off both for over twenty years.
