Good morning, if I use my CC to pay for a holiday but pay direct to the recipients bank account is my transaction classed as a purchase or drawing cash on the card. Thanks

It will be a purchase direct to the holiday company and will appear so on your statement.

Are you making the payment to a company? Some banks only allow you to make payments to your own bank account (and charge a cash payment fee), other banks allow you to make payments to another person's bank account and charge the extra fees.
Check with your credit card company.
