The Best Is Yet To Come
The Best Is Yet To Come
We wonder what the future holds,
When we close our eyes each night.
But the door to the past,
We never will close tight.
Somethings don’t belong in the past,
There they cannot hide.
Our memories belong with us,
And so we carry them inside.
Never close the door on your past,
Always hold on to that key.
Because if we forget the past,
Then only shadows we will be.
We would all like to be a child again,
And live in a world that was kind.
But sadly that can never happen,
And yesterday we leave behind.
Sometimes it would be wonderful,
To have things just like before.
But many places we frequented,
Are not there anymore.
We can’t change the past,
That place we all came from.
But always remember this,
The best is yet to come.
