Complicated, but I’ll try to keep it short. Currently in a home awaiting a hip operation so I’m here for some months. I’m a Sky TV / BT customer (monthly £20 +£3 BT) but I’ve never used any Sky services, only BT. It was a nightmare to set up and in recent weeks the web link has failed for an hour or so at a time.
I’ve decided to cancel the Sky/BT contract and bring my TV here because although I was able to access the internet via the home’s Wifi, 3 days ago it melted away when being used and will not return.
Hours spent on phone trying to get this sorted but BT’s verdict is that the home’s
wifi connection is at fault because it's not possible to log on to bt.com.
I do not want to change my email address so want to stay with BT but do I have to have a modem at home – with all the complications of not being there – and advice about any other problems that may crop up.
