I am trying to contact Amazon.co.uk customer service to sort out a simple query but i find it impossible speak to anyone or to email them. Is it their policy to make it difficult for anyone to contact them or a i doing something wrong?

and my god dont they take your moolah lightning quick?
Didnt Jeff Besos ( smirker) give his wife ( ex wifey, she got fed up with the lies) $65 billion? and when I see his photo I think
come on Jeff - give US some service....
I had a nightmare with their on-line help - no help whatsoever so I finally requested they call me. They did. I got a recorded voice telling me to go on line to sort any problems out. I then decided to email them and got a reply saying someone would contact me within six hours. No one did. Rubbish customer services. Terrible.
I finally contacted the manufacturer of my purchase who dealt with the query instantly.
Amazon's customer service is exceptionally good. All you need to do is to start here
https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/contact-us/csp?source=contact-us
and click on 'We can call you'.
Then work your way through the screens. You'll eventually reach a point where you're asked if you want to receive a call within the next minute or two or to book one for later. Selecting the former option invariably gets someone to call you almost immediately.
I experienced quite good CS when I contacted Amazon last week due to a problem with my debit card not geing authorised and my sons card being charged for monthly prime subscription. Managed to get his card refunded and my card approved and charged.

'Invariably' went wrong for me. I got a call immediately - by a recorded voice telling me to go on line to sort my problem out. Trying to call them was the same - just a recorded voice telling me to go on line. Absolutely hopeless.
