Without being verbose I just learnt yesterday that a pretty good friend of mine (we lost touch through Covid etc etc). Had 50% of her bowel removed last year and last night she had to go for a ct scan for the yearly checkup.
I asked how did she know she had it - she sent that little poo test back and they detected it there. A very small tumour which was removed keyhole and no treatment necessary afterwards.
I have been guilty of not sending my poo test back so I phoned for one today.
Very easy test: just some gel on the stomach and a scan as a pregnant woman would have. Very serious - and possibly fatal - if not detected. My brother had to have a big operation very soon after his scan.
