It’s pretty basic meg but our family really like it..
For a 1 lb pud
50g each of currants, raisins, sultanas and mixed peel.
25g sliced almonds (we always add more various nuts depending on what’s in the cupboard and roughly chop them)
1 level tsp mixed spice
25g pl flour
50g fresh breadcrumbs (whatever bread is available)
50g brown sugar and 50g suet
Grated rind 1 lemon
1 tablespoon treacle
1 large egg
1 tablespoon each brandy and rum
Bit of milk
Chuck dry ingredients in bowl and stir, mix wet ingredients together, add to dry ingredients, mix well and add more wet stuff (milk or brandy, I used brandy) till it’s a nice softish mix.
Put into microwaveable basin and cook.
