My girls are getting a ginger kitten for Christmas (I've seen her and she's adorable) and I would like some ideas for a name. My elder daughter is crazy about Boudicca and the Iceni and there is no way I intend standing at my kitchen door, screaming,
'Boudicca! Here, Boudicca!'
I'd be strait jacketed before I could paint myself in woad. Please help because I need to be armed with great alternatives.
One last point. I'd always assumed it was genetically impossible for a ginger cat to be female. Where did that myth come from??

Henri (female) tabby, Daisy (male) tabby, LeftOver (male) tabby, Max (male) ginger tabby, Wolf (female) ?
we did have others but they died :( Blacky (male), Jack (male), Toby (female), Jo (female))
I think Daisy or Toby are good names for your cat! it doesnt matter that its female
i let my daughter name all my animals i get (except my cat i kept the name the recue centre named her tammy as i think its a lovely name, but as someone else said a cat if its gonna respond it will to anything you call out as i was told they respond to the tone of you voice rather than what you say. also the tutting sound works well when you want to call them in from the garden, im lucky my cat responds to just the door being opened, my previous cat responded well to tapping a bowl, i resent calling any name in the street as i tend to just call her in late at night before i go to bed .
although my two ferrets named baby and ferret (my daughter named them when she was younger) tend to come to me when i call them and i do feel stupid calling them in from the garden.
