Just as an aside, I have had the pleasure to examine a sample of some of the moon rocks brought back from one of the Apollo missions, and also examine them in thin section under the microscope.
Apart from looking like fresh terrestrial basalts, you can't help that feeling of "oooh!!" when you're holding them in your hand!
