Hold Your Tongue

Agnes is in the butcher's shop.
A young lady is walking around the shop looking at the various displays of meat.
The lady gets to the counter and points to a large piece of meat inside the glass display and says,
"My goodness, what in the world is that?"
The butcher replies,
"That, madam, is beef tongue."
The lady gives a little shudder and says to the butcher,
"How gross, there is no way you would get me to put anything in my mouth that has come out of an animal's mouth."
The butcher has to turn away giggling when Agnes looks in the lady's basket then says,
"I see you have bought some eggs “
