Naming Names

I know we cannot name the BBC presenter, but has the name of the woman who crashed into a school in which 2 girls have died not been released.
Are the police on the side of offenders??

Is she offender? As I understand it she had a medical episode that included biting her own tongue and passing out.

I have just read that the driver has been arrested and bailed. The police won't name her until she is charged. That is standard practice in the UK.

She apparently had a seizure at the wheel and bit right through her tongue.

I also read that Barry. She suffered a fit, and bit through her own tongue. When police arrived on scene she appeared in a state of delirium. I suspect there will be medical tests before the CPS decide on how to proceed further. Either way I have no doubt she will be forced to hang up her driving gloves. I don't think I would wish to get behind the wheel again if I realised I had killed and injured so many due to physical or mental incapacity.

What good would naming the driver do at this stage, particularly if she had a seizure. I feel dreadfully sorry for all involved, including the driver.

I was involved in a dreadful fatal accident that was not my fault and it took me an age to drive again.

She has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail. If she has a history of fits and failed to inform the DVLA; chose to drive despite not feeling well at that time or failed to take the correct dose of medication for an existing condition she might well be charged.

If this was a one off episode that could not be foreseen then it is wholly a tragic and devestating accident. That's for the police and CPS to establish.

I was unaware of the stories about a medical episode. I thought maybe drink or drugs were involved.
So let's wait and see on the outcome.
