I see. Here we are, on a thread, Prudie is the OP, she had a question, I gave an answer 10 minutes later, I think the answer was helpful.
At that point I had no recollection of anything from April - we're three months later in July now.
Then OG gives a response, which Prudie took offence to. My opinion: it was completely innocuous. And OG himself says "What the hell are you on about?", which I was kind of thinking.
Then the thread goes off into how Prudie thinks "so many long term members showing their unpleasant side", immediately after she said she was "just me being too sensitive for the site these days". And people - like jno and Toorak - kicked back, effectively saying "maybe you're one of those people, with examples.
And one of those examples, from Toorak, is what dragged me back in.
Then an amusing aside with PP and William51 ... made me laugh out loud, anyway.
Then, 18:39, Prudie drags me right back in, saying "Ellipsis had a major go and even after I apologised continued to call me ugly to the bone and Toorak joined in." All I'd done on this thread is answered the question!
But, OK, if you want to drag up April, here goes - let's see ... the "apology" was "Apologies I made the ridiculous assumption that I was chatting to real human beings", i.e. I'm not a real human being. Nice apology.
The fact is, we can all be nice to each other sometimes, we can also be not so nice at other times, sometimes we're sensitive, other times we're as thick-skinned as a rhino. We are all human ... nothing is perfect. If someone really is "just me being too sensitive for the site these days" then that is what it is.
For the record, the relevant dialogue from April:

Why do people criticise how others look?

Exactly.

Is stating that you find someone ugly criticising? I was sharing my opinion on a light hearted thread. Hopefully Ellipsis and toorak you will continue to post all over the site at anybody else who expresses an opinion you don't like and tell them off too. Everybody in the world is beautiful, does that satisfy your virtuous natures?

Just totally unnecessary, miserable and unkind. Light hearted? No.

OMG. Apologies I made the ridiculous assumption that I was chatting to real human beings as if I were on my sofa with friends or colleagues at work. I forgot it was a bunch of PC small minded people who like to throw their weight around at strangers online.
Do you know real people say things like he's ugly or I don't fancy her? I assume you think going forward I should tell them all they are unnecessary, miserable and unkind because Ellipsis says so.
You are extremely mean and unkind to have made those comments to me but that's clearly OK.

We're not friends or colleagues so, yes, that was a ridiculous assumption. Maybe your friends and colleagues would not say how rude and mean you were to your face. Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone.
