Storm Babet is alive and well. Can't remember the last time we had a storm like this. Luckily I live on high ground and have never had a problem with flooding.

On ITV news last night we are told that the inhabitants of certain areas d in Scotland should evacuate their homes. Next we hear the illustrious leader of the SNP urging people to stay put. If it wasn't so tragic ,serious and sad I could hardly stop a laugh. Talk about indecisive
Had to go out for a hospital appointment this morning and drove through a "pond" where two roads meet. Drove at a crawl unlike the driver of the double decker coming in the opposite direction! Just read that we've had more rain in the past 24 hours than we normally have in a month. A9 between Aberdeen and Dundee was closed because of flooding but may be open again as the rain seems to be easing off a bit. Wish the wind would too!
