How is weetabix cake made ?

2oz Weetabix (crumbled)
6oz sultanas or mixed fruit
6oz sugar
1/2 pint of milk
1 egg
8oz self-raising flour

Method:
Soak all the first 4 ingredients in a bowl in the fridge overnight. Then add 1 beaten egg to the above and mix thoroughly. Add 8oz self-raising flour and a pinch of salt. Bake in the oven 180c (gas mark 4) for 3/4 hour.

Just thought i would let you know that i read your post yesterday and thought the recipe sounded interesting.

Made it today and it was lovely!!

Sort of a cross between cake and bread pudding - delicious!!!
try this diet variation
2 weetax crumbled
113g 4oz sultanas
142mls 5foz Skimmed milk
142mls 5fl oz water
113g 4oz self raising flour
1tsp mixed spice
14g Artificial Sweetner( i use canderel)
1 egg beaten
1. Preheat oven 180'C,350'F gas mark 4
2. put weetabix ans sutanas in bowl pour over liquids and leave to soak it up.
3. Stir in flour, sweetner, flour and egg
4. spoon into a 1lb / 454g loaf tin and bake for abou 1hour 15 mins.
