Cat weeing

How can i stop my cat weeing by the back door right next to her cat litter.... she's an indoor cat as she's not very intelligent and we live on a busy main road!

Please disregard bitterpants post above... lets not have it become one of THOSE threads! There is nothing wrong with having a housecat.
Anyways; move her litterbox over to where she is urinating. Or place another litterbox there. Try using different types of litter in each box and see if she has a preferance. Does your litterbox have a lid? Try one with or without. Is there something traumatic that happened when she was in the litterbox?
Make sure that you clean up the area really well. 10% bleach is nice on non-staining floors. White vinegar works too. You could try commercial cleaners too. If she can still smell urine there she may still want to go there.
Is she still using the litterbox? If not then confine her in a room with the litterbox (and water of course) and wait until she uses it (hopefully). If she is still using the litterbox then you may need to catch her in the act and try a waterpistol or some pennies in a can (most cats hate loud noise). Make sure you reinforce when she uses the litterbox with treats. What a smart kitty, using the toilet! Hope this helps.

One of my cats seems to wee anywhere, unfortunately! The vet thinks it is probably stress related and she is marking territory, he suggested that we try putting her food bowl where she wees as they tend to like to keep the place where they eat clean. It did not work for us as she just moved her weeing to a different place, but it may do the trick for you.
