it is worth remembering that the majority of americans did not vote for donald trump in 2016 and he still got in. they also did not vote for him in 2020 and yet his disgusting influence on the judicial system continues to corrupt american democracy and attack the reproductive rights of women across the country. his armed followers have already attempted to overthrow the government once. 

given these facts it is not surprising that many americans do not have faith in their political system to stop someone from establishing a dictatorship against the wishes of the population... and it is a cast iron fact that this is what trump wants to do if he is reelected (and perhaps even if he is not). if i were american then i would not have much faith in the political system either. the man is not a normal right wing politician. he is the closest thing to a fascist that the USA has ever had.

Release a statement? Melania is not the POTUS. It was not here brief or duty to make official statements to the American people. Are you ill or pretending to be?
