Added to my problems is that my car’s ECU displays a false engine fault code – which returns after a short while. To get it through the MOT I have to take in to a garage that can erase the fault code and then have it MOT’d.
At the last MOT, they had to take it to a second MOT station because the one they had used failed it for a bogus reason – so it even happens to the motor-trade.
Personally I prefer not to risk tyres or brakes so start looking around for some rather than waiting for it to fail, as my lat4e father always said(Aircraft desinger) the tyres and brakes are the difference between you and the reaper. Remember also just becasue it passed doesnt mean plod cant prosecute you next week if they considered them dangerous.
Those tyres shouldnt be expensive, my rear ones were £250 each (from ADSA!).
