A recount is on the way in Dixville Notch

ymb, if the democrats dont win, will it be a case of the repubicans have made sure they win?

Probably better for the world if the one that's not insane wins.

the trump "movement" seems to consistent of pizzagate people, qanon, religious loons, neonazis and white supremacists.

more like a giant bowel movement in my opinion. america at its worst.

I don't have a first clue how the American system works, but on the radio this morning they had an American expert who was saying it could either be close or a landslide. Because I don't know how their system works I don't know whether was simply hedging his bets or that's a peculiarity of their system.

Naomi, what's your prediction?

"...the trump "movement" seems to consistent of pizzagate people, qanon, religious loons, neonazis and white supremacists."

So, in short, lots of people whose opinions you don't share, then.

i don't consider such people to merely "have opinions" newjudge

What do they have then?

a neonazi is a person with explicitly murderous intentions newjudge. there is no peaceful one by definition.

Nazis,eh.Werent they supposed to be anti-Jewish,anti-semitic,anti-Zionist?Ring any bells Untitled?

The result, whoever wins, will be carnage.

Douglas Adams had it about right -

“The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.

To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.

To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

Untitled, you read too much fiction.

Clover, I honestly don't know.  I'm at a loss to understand why the US can't come up with two more suitable candidates.

Judge @16.17.

Recognising the unsuitablity for office of a candidate who attempted a coup last time is hardly not sharing opinions.

Khandro, as its often been said a week is a long time in politics. Four years is a heck of a long time in politics and I don't think it's reasonable to judge what Trump will do in the future on what he's done in the past. Mentally and physically he is not the same and if he is selected for a second term, in my opinion, delusions of grandeur will take over, to the detriment of us all. I hope i'm wrong, America desperately needs a strong leader but, again in my opinion, he's too volatile and unpredictable.

"Recognising the unsuitablity for office of a candidate who attempted a coup last time is hardly not sharing opinions."

The remarks were not solely about the candidate, though, were they? They referred to "the Trump movement" - i.e. a group of people who hold particular opinions.

The Dems seem to consist of White party goers.

I wonder if we will ever get to know the truth about those parties or will it be another Epstein cover up?

Judge,

Their particular opinions being that armed coups are OK if you don't win.

"Their particular opinions being that armed coups are OK if you don't win."

But that tars about 50% of the US electorate with the same brush. Only a very small minority were involved in what you term a coup. Half the electorate (+/- a bit) seems likely to vote for Mr Trump. It seems somewhat crass to suggest they are all religious loons, neonazis and white supremacists.
