my neighbor has told me my table is in the wrong place .she was on about fung swey what is it? How can moveing a table change your life anyway?

No-one else knows what you have done, they are none the wiser but it really works. I recently moved our bed so that we were sleeping against a north facing wall, WOW! I now sleep a good 7 hours a night and the dreams (!!?). Before my sleep was very eratic and I had bad dreams (but I was lying under the eaves of the window which they say is not good for you, neither is it good to sleep under wooden beams) whereas now it really does work. Buy a book on FS - give it a go, you have nothing to lose.
I thought it was pronounced 'fung shway'.
Anyway, for a place to have "good feng shui" is for it to be in harmony with Nature, to have "bad feng shui" is to be incongruous with Nature.
Bearing in mind that one of it's basic guidelines is that stairs should NEVER face the front door, I think that banjaxes most houses in the Western world. And the issue over the wood is a constant misnomer. Providing you balance all five Chinese elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and water, you can create a feng shui balance within the qi.
