Making an effort
7 Answers
Boyfriend moved away for work. I now see him, if I am lucky! once a month. Tonight he texted me on way home from work at 6.45 saying he was having early night. So no contact from him all evening. He was telling me, rather than asking how I was feeling. This is normal behaviour from him. But it riles me. Could he make less effort. Am I being unreasonable? Surely if we dont see each other, you would at least think he would want to chat.

You only sound like a mug if you are not happy with things the way they are - if you are happy then who cares what people think. It doesn't sound like you are happy though! Everything sounds as though its on his terms and you just fit in where necessary - in between his job and his kids. I have been 3rd best in a relationship before (behind 2 kids) and although i understand his kids are important...i am too!! i am now single and looking for a relationship where i will be 1st ...not found it yet but ever hopeful! do what you think is best for you xx
I agree with Minimonkey, you deserve more than that, it sounds like he wants you to just slot in when it suits him and hes not fussed about how you feel or your needs..
Dont settle for any less than you deserve life is too short to waste time with someone thats not worthy or making an effort on your relationship. Good luck
