hair question

my hair is naturally curly and it grows much slower in the middle in the back then on either side so it always looks like i have an upside down v is there anyway to make that hair grow faster or breakoff less?

rub salt into the scalp where the hair grows slowest and place that section of your head over a sink full of water, then, when the hairs get thirsty and need a drink, grab them at the base of the hair and tie a knot in them.. Thats the advice i got from my grandad when i asked him how to grow a beard, try it, it may work for you, it didnt help me grow a beard but i was only 9 1/2 at the time.
