telephone socket
I would like a telephone socket in an upstairs bedroom in my house. Not a new or additional telephone line; just a socket so I can plug in my computer and/or telephone. I once asked BT and they told me I have to get an electrician to do it. I asked an electrician and he told me I have to get BT for this. Today I visited the BT website but could find no info and no telephone no. to call. I filled in an enquiry form but I am not confident I'll get a sensible reply. Does anyone know who I should call please?

Have a look here,it explains it better than I do, Ray

Thanks for the replies; I did not want an extension to run along my walls, up the stairs, across the landing and into the upstairs bedroom; I finally managed to get sense out of BT and an engineer will be coming round in early January; I would like the line to come into the bedroom from the road, so to speak. Thank you all again for the replies.
