windows automatic updates

when i do automatic updates on my pc it crashes.It wont restart so i have to keep rebooting from my windows disc and doing a repair.As soon as i get up and running again my pc needs updating and so on.

Thanx for the advice ! I did a virus scan in safe mode found three viruses deleted them all.Did an update and my pc crashed again .I think im going mad! can anybody help me with this problem befor i completely lose it.
