i have lost my mot is there anyway i can find out what date it runs out. ie can you put your registration in a dvla website. i can get a copy for �20.00 but if it runs out next week there is no point and the garage will not tell me the date

sorry forgot the other part of the question. i am selling my car, and when i came to look at the service book it has not been stamped. the ford dealer who serviced it has now closed down, i rang another ford dealer and they could not help.

you can phone VOSA,and give them the infomation on your log book,they will tell you all you need to know

Why wont the garage tell you the date??. Don`t know if its standard practise with all garages but the one I take mine to send me out a reminder a month before its due its MOT
