computer freezing up

why does my computer keep freezing up on me when im in the middle of doing something?

hello -
there are manyt reasons why your pc is crashing
may have a virus - should buy antivirus software
you could have installed a program thats makeing it crash
could be overheating
. . . . they are sooooo many reason
you may want to reboot your pc and see if that solves the problme if not you might want to look at buying a new motherboard

As christy says, maybe overheating.

Has it got plenty of room around it for cool air to circulate ?

Open the case and see if there is a lot of dust in there.

If so take it outside and use a hair drier to blow all the dust and dirt off the fans and heat sinks.

Then try again.

Can you list you operating system, the details of your computer and what software you are doing something with when it is freezing up.

Maybe just a Ram deficiency?
