motorcycle lock

my bike was hit at the front end by a car backing, bike got knocked over and bent left handel bar.fitted new one and found that the key wont lock the stering at ignition switch. why would this be? as stearing seems fine.

sounds like you may have bent the ignition switch too or your not getting "full lock" when turning the bars to the left.put it on full lock to the right and measure the gap from the bar end to the tank.it should be the same on left hand lock.
