what is wrong with people

I have just got back from my local club ,I am a minor official there, i was just about to go home at 11.30pm when i was told that the organist who plays downstairs for the sequence dancing had had his front left wheel nicked from his car , his wife was in bits so i thought the least i could do was help them as much as i could, the person who is the chairman came and said that they were going home regardless of the situation , i spent 1and a half hours taking a nut from each wheel so as to get them back on the road ,the spare was flat and would not come off its bracket ,i am now filthy dirty and knackered , im do not get paid for doing this and i was happy to help them but feel i am being taken advantage of does anyone agree or am i being a big girls blouse?

ok obviously thre are places that may not be as bad as others, all i am saying is that one day everything is fine and then all of a sudden somebody comes along your street and f*cks everything up, they may be strangers or whatever but they really do upset the neighberhood

you are missing my point ELVIS68 it does not matter where you live ,it can be fine for weeks,months or years but some ******* will come along one day and f*ck you up, be they drunk, gypseys or whatever. i am pleased that it is good where you live and long may it continue

Jacko i don't understand why you felt like you were being taken advantage off; you volunteered, were you disappointed that some sort or monetary gratitude wasn't offered?

You did a good deed and those people were very lucky you were there to help them. Rewards come in different ways. :-)

if you were expecting payment you should have agreed it before you began.

I meant what is wrong with people who would steal a blokes wheel and leave him stranded and not give a toss, i did not expect a reward i was anoyed because other people who are on the club committee felt that it was ok to go home and leave me to sort it out as they wanted to go home but did not consider that i would have liked to go home as well but i also thought i had a duty to help this poor bloke and his wife so stayed and did just that. whereas they put themselves first.
